Meet The Team

Kevin Conto
Meet Kevin Conto, lifelong horseman, and the heart behind Pine Tree Stables. With more than 45 years of experience in the horse industry, Kevin has dedicated his life to developing young horses with patience, consistency, and true horsemanship at the forefront of everything he does.
Kevin trained under legendary horsemen Frank Whiteley and Neil Howard before launching his own training operation in 1990. For the past twenty-five years in Camden, he has specialized in starting horses under saddle, building confident, well-rounded equine athletes from the ground up.
Known for his calm, hands-on approach, Kevin works with racehorses and show horses alike, always tailoring his program to the individual needs of each horse. Whether preparing a horse for the starting gate or the show ring, his focus remains the same: creating a solid foundation through patience, trust, and proper development.
At Pine Tree Stables, we specialize in starting babies and take pride in giving every horse the time and attention they deserve. No cowboying, no rushing, just thoughtful training designed to bring out each horse’s full potential.
When Kevin isn’t in the saddle or at the races, he’s hard at work around the farm managing the training and boarding facility, tending hay fields, building jumps for Lynne’s horse shows, or, as he likes to say, “fixing ALL the equipment.”

What We Have To Offer
When you step onto the property, you’ll immediately notice the 32 acres of open riding space available to enjoy. The farm features two one-acre grass jumping arenas, a full-size dressage arena that can also be sectioned into a smaller arena, an Equibase-sanctioned 5/8-mile dirt racetrack with a starting gate, and two dedicated warm-up jumping areas. At the center of the property is a hay field that produces the hay we feed our horses, so you always know exactly what your horse is eating.
Inside the barn, you’ll find 20 spacious 12x12 stalls with open ceilings designed to reduce moisture, yoked stall screens, and ample bedding for comfort and ventilation. The property includes two tack rooms—one reserved for the property owners and a separate tack room for boarders. There is also plenty of trailer parking beside the barn, along with a 12x24 loft for additional storage.
Behind the barn is a regularly groomed lunge ring, as well as nine individual turnout paddocks positioned close together to maintain a herd environment for the horses. In addition, there are two larger turnouts equipped with run-in shelters.
The farm also offers direct access to Camden Hunt Country, with a bridle path leading to thousands of miles of scenic trails and plenty of jumps along the way.
